Here’s how to make a beet smoothie, full of sweet flavor and vivid color! This healthy puree is loaded with nutrients and fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 small raw beet (about 2/3 cup peeled and diced)
  • 1 large green apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks or mango
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 10 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Peel the raw beet, then dice it (be careful of the beet juice, as it stains!).
  2. Chop the apple, leaving the skin on. Break the banana into pieces.
  3. Add the beet, apple, banana, frozen pineapple, water, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Eat immediately or store 1 day in a sealed jar; if it separates, shake to re-integrate it.
