Here’s how to make the best blueberry banana smoothie! This purple puree has sweet berry flavor and the perfect luscious texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 2 bananas (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup water*
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, stopping and scraping when necessary. If needed, add a splash more water to get it to blend. Store up to 1 day in a sealed jar.

Notes

*To add protein, use 1/4 to 1/2 cup Greek yogurt instead of milk. If necessary, add a few more splashes of water until the smoothie blends.
